 Hello my Pizza Friends,

I hope you’re all staying safe during this pandemic going on. I happen to be on a low carb diet, but I decided to treat myself to a cheat day once a week and of course made pizza my cheat food item weekly. I also happened to pass by a new spot that for some reason kept grabbing my attention. It looked real cute and I’ve heard that it’s as close as you can get to NY style pizza so I decided to give it a try and see if it lives up to it’s claims. I entered the store. It was super tiny. I decided to be less daring today and ordered a good old 24 inch Cheese pie since I’ve got a big gang to feed. To my surprise, the size of this pizza was GINORMOUS. I laughed so hard. The slices were sooo big that I asked the man to cut them in halves just to get them to a normal size. The pizza looked delicious and I was assured after speaking with the owner that his pizza was compared to the pizza in Italy. I had gotten all excited to test it out for myself. I won’t lie. I was a bit apprehensive as seeing the slices at the counter didn’t look that great, which kind of made me nervous, but the pie looked better.  I was hopeful. I bit into the slice. The crust was pretty good. I asked for well done. It was crispy but not that much. It did taste good and wasn’t doughy but I couldn’t help but wonder if I hadn’t asked for well done, would this crust be even this crispy. Also I noticed it tastes a bit sour like sourdough bread. The sauce was more on the salty side and not really noticeable. I like my sauce more on the sweet side so it didn’t do much for me. You could barely taste the sauce on it. The cheese was piled on right. The slice was ok. I felt there was great potential had this pizza been a bit sweeter and more saucy. I feel that tweaking it a bit could definitely make a huge impact. To claim your a NY style pizza is no small feat. I do feel like it fell short of that claim. I rate this pizza a 6 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being closest to Ny style pizza. The taste didn’t live up to its large size. Try it out and see for yourselves what you think my friends. Comment on my comment list if you’ve tried it yourselves. I’d like to hear your feedback. Thanks for stopping by :)
